Good question….one thing to confirm is to make sure the pump is full priming. It should be full with water - if this is confirmed, this is a good sign.
To confirm, check the return lines to ensure water is going back into the pool.
The PSI is a measurement of the amount of pressure in the filter - this is a good “meter’ to gauge issues with the flow of water. High pressure and low pressure can point one in the right direction when diagnosing equipment related issues.
How do I know if my filter is working properly. I have between 11 & 15 psi on my gauge?

what do you mean “psi?” Thanks.
